The Story
Patrick San Francesco is a world-renowned energy healer and internationally recognized humanitarian, philosopher, teacher and inventor from Goa, India. He is the chairperson of the Samarpan Foundation in India, USA, South Africa and Malawi.
Patrick travels the world; healing, teaching his unique energy healing techniques in workshops, imparting his philosophy through talks on higher consciousness and initiating projects to empower the underprivileged.
He is also an inventor at heart, constantly thinking how he can help improve humanity while applying his philosophy of “the greatest good for the greatest number”. Patrick has invented several world impactful developments including Apphealing, Plastic (PET) Bottle House, Dew Catcher DC2, and Whole Food to only name a few.
The Goal
Patrick’s journey and experiences are constantly evolving, as is his brand and business. From healing at the young age of four in his hometown of Bangalore, India, to traveling the world annually, Patrick continues to help people with his unique abilities.
Recently, while working on expanding his online presence, Patrick faced some unexpected challenges that briefly delayed progress. He and his team took the opportunity to reassess their vision, realizing that Patrick’s ambitions were even greater than initially anticipated.
Patrick’s vision for The First Principle website (his current business platform) was to reach more people globally and in multiple languages. He also aimed to host more online webinars, in-person events, and healing retreats. Social media engagement through platforms like Instagram and Facebook, along with ranking through organic search traffic via SEO and content marketing, became key goals. With this in mind, the priority is now to launch Patrick’s new personal site, patricksanfrancesco.com, and optimize The First Principle for the next phase of growth.
The Gap
To fully understand the scope of the project, we conducted a thorough review of the current progress. This included evaluating the branding, assets, content, and design already in place for the new site. We also focused on identifying the necessary integrations and functionality to meet the client’s needs. While the project required some adjustments, we quickly assessed, prioritized, and shifted seamlessly into refining and enhancing the website’s branding.
A Deep Dive
The first starting point was figuring out color-ways, type font, design, look/feel that was based upon the potential target market and how the customer also perceived himself and the style he wanted to portray. A UI/UX mockup was also created to help see if we were heading in the correct direction before the actual site build-out began. This way is it easy to change an idea early on in the process instead of after the code has been written and the page has been built. It saves the customer money and us time on the build.
While branding from our design team was underway on the new website patricksanfrancesco.com, a close review of the client’s current social media accounts and search engine standings for his primary website platform “The First Principle” was needed to fully understand the remaining scope of the project. Diving deep into the analytics greatly helped us determine the strategy that would help align Patrick’s different online communication platforms with a marketing campaign that would convert new potential clients.
New Discoveries: SEO & Social Media Marketing
Upon an initial SEO audit, the client organically ranked well for his name “Patrick San Francesco” and his business name “The First Principle” but did not rank well for his specialty: “energy healing”, “celestial energy healer”, etc. The client understood very clearly a long-term approach with Search Engine Optimization would be beneficial for his business. Thus creating an actionable SEO strategy and content marketing strategy to help improve certain keyword rankings, overall traffic, and a bigger presence within the industry was also added into the project scope.
Social media lacked on a few fronts that our client expressed concerns with: 1. Lack of new followers 2. More consistent user engagement and community reaction to different marketing campaigns. 3. Needing support with posting and on a more regular basis. 4. Original content. A Social Media Management (SMM) Plan, as well as a Social media strategy along with an actionable plan, was added as well into the scope of the project.
The Gamble
Amplific Lab works with our clients by working from the bottom by building a strong base that will be future proof but also have the options of future integration depending on how far you want to grow and expand your business. Once that base is formed and properly working, the next layer of the project can be implemented and will be kept building upon itself. As the work moves up the pyramid or ladder per se, the focus becomes even more precise and targeted to be able to achieve the desired outcome that was reached during the preliminary research and discovery phases of the project.
A Customer-Centric Approach
From SEO to Website Development to Digital Advertising a majority of our work is a bottom-up, customer-centric approach. We make a majority of our decisions with our client’s customers in mind. Our decisions are always based around real, feasible analytical data, we always adapt to the target market at hand because some potential clients will behave and react differently than another market who might be very similar at first glance. For example, one set of colors, copy, images, branding, etc. might resonate well with your ideal target market comparing to another similar target market who will bounce only after a few seconds on your site or advertisement. We took this same approach with Patrick and his business.
After much research, thought and review Patrick’s Search Engine Strategy and Social Media Strategy were completed and ready to roll. From a 30,000 foot level, our findings addressed our client’s original concerns with a few newly discovered issues and an actionable plan to fix and or improve those concerns.
Social Media Management
A mix of organic posts and paid posts all created with original, meaningful content that educated Patrick’s current community and future desired clientele. We scheduled all posts, events, and shareable content 1-3 months out via a social media automation platform. It was definitely a challenge running a multi-lingual international social media campaign that needed to perform well while keeping costs down and engagement/turn over high. We were also tasked with rebranding all of his social media away from The First Principle to his new Patrick San Francesco brand which was implemented upon the new website launch.
Search Engine Optimization
Our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy was to start with the basics and work our way into the nitty-gritty of SEO. As we tell our clients, SEO and content marketing is always a long term investment and they cannot expect to see results overnight like you can with PPC or advertising campaigns. But the effect a properly implemented SEO strategy can have on your business over a six month plus time frame can drastically out weight the cost/benefit analysis that a cash-driven advertising campaign can have. Because at the end of the day, organic search traffic from search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo is free! After completing, connecting and optimizing all possible search engine indicators that allow search engine bots to crawl and index Patrick’s pages, we started optimizing the pages for keywords we wanted to rank for.
The Gain
After several revisions and many tweaks to the clients satisfaction the site was launched and introduced to the First Principle Community through both Patrick’s social media and email platforms. Search Engine Optimization Results
Since the launch, the new and old website has been picking up stem due to our SEO efforts. Current average position for 828 indexed long tail keywords is 12.6 position on Google. Over a 12 month period Patrick has received 6,360 organic clicks, 55,600 impressions and has an average 11.4% Click Through Rate (CTR) a great outcome for such a niche market.
Patrick’s has also since started ranking and positioned well for important keywords such as “celestial energy” and “energy healer”. Respectfully the energy healer keyword is ranking on average the 3rd clickable link on Google with a 7.8% CTR. The celestial energy keyword is also doing quite well with averaging 1st to 2nd position on Google. The CTR is 15.9% which is well above the industry standard of 1.91%. Both big wins for the client and their desired outcome in regards to SEO objectives.
Social Media Marketing Results
Patrick’s Social Media platforms have also grown substantially in size. Currently Patrick has a combined total of over 26,000 followers on Facebook and Instagram (and still growing), a overwhelming amount of growth since taking over the account with just a few thousand. His engagement rates on Facebook alone has over tripled since starting work with him in 2018 comparing to 2020. That is a 221% increase in engagement.
